My Latest Paintings

Here is what I've been painting, mostly drawing the subject at home and then painting them at my AVA Thursday group. All are 16" x 12" and painted on the reverse of my many failed paintings. It can be done providing the paper is good quality. Mostly these are on Waterford. A couple I'm not sure.

Proud Dad and chicks

Mother and Son

Water Buffalo

Red Grouse

Unfinished - Kingfisher I'll publish the finished article when completed.

Hi Peter,
thank you for your lovely and informative blog... it's so good to see folk just living life to the fullest .
i have recently found Viktoria Prischedko's paintings, and am considering taking one of her courses, and would love some more information. I read your excellent post on your experience of it, and a description of her technique.
Any more information ? is she a good teacher?, what is the atmosphere like in her courses? Anything else i should ask ?
thank you,
Alison Nixon

Hi Alison
I did two pieces on Viktoria have you read both? I have no personal experience of her courses but reports seem to indicate her students enjoyed them. To gain real benefit you need to buy into the way she does things and my reports give a good indication (based on the experiences of one student).
I'm not tempted myself as she does things so differently from my chosen path. She has been to the UK in the last two years at East Devon Arts at Sidmouth.
